This Week’s Music Myxx

Machine in the Garden – Dreams of the Absent
ignorant human’s grave in the domain of dreams
sleepy wandering fantasies in the air
captured addicted spirit in the world of the dead
cease to exist, body without a soul, senseless stare

when time cascades into the dawn
when life clings to the weary frame
when binding disbelief takes hold
when i dissolve into the rain

who can come and go
gazing at the stars in the sky
journey’s difficult for some
the passage into the next world comes
where angels fly into the dawn
bound by chains restrained to walls
where devils claw in the night
tortured souls igniting flames fall

when time cascades into the dawn
when life clings to the weary frame
when binding disbelief takes hold
when I dissolve into the rain

Machine in the Garden makes fantastic, ambient, ethereal music – not usually my taste, but it fits the mood of the shitty weather and general malcontent we’ve had here at the Society House this past week.

Sirannon – The Holy Raven

War screams, in Pagan hearts
Fresh blood of the occupants
The real art is this
Climb to the peak of the cranium mountain

Thus, you can see the farthest
You can feel the hate of Black Annis
Through her fatal passions
Look at eyes of the holy raven

See the cold flames
Feel the eternal hate of pagans
Bells are ringing
The gloomy bells of Paganland

War screams, in Pagan hearts
Fresh blood of the occupants
The real art is this
Climb to the peak of the cranium mountain

See her crimson sword
The great queen, holy raven

I stumbled upon Sirannon about a month ago. They’re an all-female Black/Pagan metal band out of Turkey, and while I don’t jive with the whole pagan thing, these chicks are pretty badass.
